DataScan Technologies Announces Corporate Integration and Advancement of Field Services

Nationwide Audit Services (NAS) and Vehicle Inspection Services (VIS) have been integrated to create the DataScan Field Services (DFS) unit of DataScan Technologies. DFS becomes the industry's largest floorplan audit and vehicle inspection provider, with more than 80 clients. The initiative was prompted by DataScan's strong desire and ongoing commitment to advance its field services businesses.
"As we continued to experience growth in both our audit and inspection businesses it made sense to combine the two, unlocking the scale advantage and allowing us to deliver our services to our clients more effectively," said DataScan Technologies President & CEO Frank Armstrong.
"Our mission will be to strengthen our industry leadership position by delivering best-of-class audit and inspection solutions while leveraging our experience, scale, technological expertise, and 'customer-first' attitude to produce exceptional results for our clients" added Brent Sergot, vice president and general manager of DFS.
On a monthly basis, DFS will visit 10,000 dealers and thousands of consumers, touching over 600,000 vehicles while conducting audit and inspection services. The DFS team is currently supported by more than 225 associates, with over 175 serving as field specialists. Significant growth is planned within the field network as a result of this integration and other expansion plans. Additionally, DFS has over 300+ independent contractors supporting the inspection services.
